Dr Anvy Antoo trained across multiple states in Australia including Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria and the Northern Territories in metropolitan and regional settings. After completing General Medicine training in Melbourne, he worked for a year in a cardiology research position at the Western Hospital, Melbourne. He has a special interest in cardio-respiratory conditions and has extensive experience with inpatient and outpatient general medicine.
Dr Antoo moved to Tamworth in 2020 and is appointed as a General Medicine consultant at Tamworth Regional Referral Hospital. He manages acutely unwell patients in hospital and will work in General Medicine Rapid Access Clinics at Regional Specialists Tamworth. These clinics are bulk-billed and aimed at medical patients that have recently been discharged from hospital or the Emergency Department and needing early follow-up.
We are currently accepting referrals from GPs and the Emergency Department for patients discharged after presenting with the following conditions (to be expanded in the near future):
- Transient Ischaemic Attacks (TIA)
- Chest pain
- Any patient discharged from hospital and requiring follow-up within a week may also be referred to this clinic

- Early review post-discharge clinic
