Cardiology

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that deals with the heart and circulation. Broadly this includes conditions such as congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease and electrophysiology or irregular heart rhythms. Cardiologists often also manage risk factors that lead up to heart disease.

 

The field of cardiology is broad and conditions that cardiologists can further investigate and manage include but not limited to:
