Consultant Nephrologist (Renal Physician)

Dr Mani Panat has been working as a Consultant Nephrologist and General Physician at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital from 2006 onwards. He is experienced with handling problems related to kidney diseases and general medical problems leading to kidney problems. He has a special interest in kidney stone saturation studies, to predict the effectiveness of renal stone prophylaxis and targeting of appropriate prophylactic therapy for prevention of further stone formation.

 

He also has a post graduate diploma in diabetes and deals with diabetic and pre-diabetic patients including obesity management in connection with renal disease prevention. This includes dietary and exercise recommendations based on exercise stress testing. He is also qualified to do procedures related to dialysis and kidney biopsies.
